A giant sand castle built in Monterey this past weekend pays homage to the victims of Friday’s massacre in Connecticut.
The Herald says 55-year-old retired fisherman Tom Kahlow and friends were discussing the shooting that killed 26 at Sandy Hook Elementary when they decided to build the castle in memory of the victims.
Lots of folks helped construct the sand castle, from Google interns to CSUMB students to tourists, the paper reported.
