Armed robbers escape with little loot from pedestrian in East Salinas

Two thugs — one with a handgun — robbed a 24-year-old man Saturday in East Salinas.

The holdup happened about 6 p.m. on the less than 100 block of North Madeira Avenue.

The robbers approached the victim, who was walking. One of the stickup men brandished a gun and ordered the victim to give him all his money, Salinas police said.

The second robber went through the victim’s pockets and removed a small amount of cash.

They escaped in a white Acura with tinted windows.
