Salinas cops ID 2 suspects in south-side stabbings

Police are looking for two men wanted on charges of attempted homicide Sunday in a double stabbing in South Salinas.

The attack occurred about 3:20 a.m. on the 200 block of Katherine Street, where two men suffered repeated stab wounds to their upper torsos. The stabbing happened during a quarrel with several people, perhaps over gang association, Salinas police said.

Relatives drove the stabbing victims to the hospital, where officers spoke with them.

Their condition is serious but stable and does not seem life-threatening.

Police identified the suspects as Francisco Thomas Perez, 24, and

Joe Hernandez Navarrette Jr.

Joe Hernandez Navarrette Jr., 26.
